Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan) in Britain

Here’s a great academic essay, by Alexandra Ryan, on the introduction of Tai Chi Chuan (Taijiquan) to Britain. Well worth a read.

  1. Yeah, very iteresting. Like a trip down memory lane with some of those names, but no mention of Erle Montaigue and The World Taiji Boxing Assosiation? Not so big in this country since his death but a great influence here in the eighties and nineties. No mention of Master John Ding (Ding Teah Chean) either? A very influential teacher of Yang style who still teaches in London. He was the student of Grand Master Ip Tai Tak (Yang Sau Chung’s student).
